I started off with two coats of Belsize Avenue - a glittery concoction of purple and brown. It is not so glittery in this picture, but looks more shimmery to the naked eye. I followed this by loading up my largest dotting tool with lots of Hampstead Gardens - a mustard yellow - and randomly dotting this around my nails. This was followed by filling the inside with Holly Walk - a shimmery green with a silver hint. And once this was dry I finished off the dots in the middle with a spot of Hoxton Crackle Topcoat - my least favourite of the polishes I received in the pick n Mix, and I do feel crackles are dated now, but I have to find a use for this and the many others in my collection. This aside, it served well when I used it for dot nail art, so I might try this again. I didn't take the pictures as soon as I finished my nails and unfortunately chipped them. Ah well.
Well that's how I did the design. What did you think of it? Do you have any of these colours? Would you try this design? And do you still use your crackle nail polishes?

They look like little peacocks! And yes I still use my crackle, not bothered that it's not 'on-trend' anymore!
ReplyDeleteThank you, never thought of it like that!
DeleteI have tonnes of the polishes, and not the biggest fan of the look anymore, but will try to use them more in designs I think. x
I love it! This is so awesome.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It did take a while, but worth it in the end I think. x
